Amethyst Cabochon Gold Men’s Ring
This statement men’s ring features a brilliant amethyst set in a 10k yellow gold mounting. It is currently a size 9.5 and has sizing options available. This is a resurrected estate ring that has lost it’s stone, so I cut a custom cabochon to fit the mounting, making it truly one of a kind.
Amethyst is a stunning purple variety of quartz that has held significant importance in various cultures throughout history. Known for its beautiful hue, amethyst has been associated with protection, wisdom, and spiritual growth. In ancient Greece, it was believed to prevent intoxication, leading to its name derived from the Greek word "amethystos," meaning "not intoxicated." It was also valued by royalty, often adorning the crowns and jewelry of kings and queens. Caring for amethyst jewelry is quite straightforward, as it rates 7 on the Mohs scale, showing good durability. To maintain its brilliance, clean it with a soft cloth, avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, and store it in a separate compartment to prevent scratches from other gemstones.
Jewelry and gemstones do not always look like what’s on your screen. Different screen resolutions and pixelization may skew the colors of certain stone and metal colors. This is especially true for stones like opals, fire agate, and labradorite. Although we make the best attempt to show off the product exactly as it is in person, technology doesn’t always allow this.
